new, new, new

Its been a couple of weeks I know. I have been checking out other blogs, wanting to know how they are so dang cute and mine is so blah. Gonna work on that. Jeff is contemplating another trip. Don't know what to think about that. We are starting new schools and a new job tomorrow. Whew! I will get pics taken in the morning of the "first day of school" stuff. Beau has been in Island Park all weekend and we are waiting for him to get home. We are so glad he has made some friends. We have a good ward. Lots of people from the home area. We still have some pictures that need put on the wall and one box in Morgan's room that needs put away.
We went to the temple last Tuesday and the witness couple had to step down. So who does the officiator, my father, ask to fill the spot? Yes, us. Our Elders pres. thought it was so funny. He said he had never seen that happen before. I then informed him that the officiator was my dad. He laughed even more. We did go have some dinner with them after, so it made for a good date night.
I will post a pic from a first day of school a couple of years ago. Maybe I can still catch up with Kenz and get a first month of school pic from her. hahaa

almost done.....I think.

it is quite an ordeal to move 2500 square feet of house into 1100 square feet of house. I almost have it done. Last 2 things to organize: my closet and my "stuff". Poor Morgan having to share her bedroom with her mother's "stuff". We got the kids registered for school today. Quite a process to have to fill out all that paperwork that I took for granted the Declo schools already have.
I did get the milkcan painted orange. Jeff asked why not red, we live in Kimberly now? I told him its just cuz I like orange.
Fair week is almost over and I haven't had any fair food. I might even have to try the deep fried snickers.....mmmmmmm. After the sale on Saturday, where I hope we have big bucks no wammies, we will have some time to walk around. When I find my camera *hint hint* I will post some pictures of the new place and the turkey showing.
I know I should get busy and finish before Jeff gets home. Maybe it will happen yet.
Take me out to the Burley Fair! :)

15 years holds a lot of stuff and memories to pack up. I hope K&H love our house as much as we did. :)

little Cubs man

the cutest little Cubs fan ever. he might have to learn to love the Braves, Falcons and Hawks too.
Hopefully we get to see him soon. :)

ummmm..excuse me, there are people sleeping here.

Dear Mr. Cropduster,
I understand it is a beautiful morning with no wind and you have work to do but, is it really necessary to buzz my window at 6 a.m. while I am in the middle of a very restful event? I value my sleep thank you very much. It is very bothersome when you do this. Next time can you keep the noise down a little please? Thank you for your time.
Renee

Argh! Got lots goin on today, need to get busy.
The lightning storm was awesome last night. Heavenly Father has some beautiful creations. The yard even got wet enough we don't have to run the sprinklers today.

just keep swimming, just keep swimming

so...found out the nitrite levels in water are a little high and the house has to have 1 egress window. R.D. said there had to be 3...K bought 2 and the window wells only to find the R.D. guy didn't have a clue and there really only needs to be 1. Gonna get the windows dug out today, cement guy coming tomorrow to cut the holes, b.i.l. will get the windows set and framed in. Inspector, better be the last one, coming early Monday. Signing papers later T or early W. I told J I might finally be seeing some faint light at the end of that tunnel.
Great surprise visit today. Bathrobe and headband didn't bother her a bit thank goodness. Suppose I better start figuring out what I can get packed and quick.
Finally got Pinterest to notice me. Sent a different email address, did the trick.
Got a letter from Mr. Bott about the new school year. Bittersweet. Kimberly will be great tho...right?
Still have to get the turkey books done and here I sit on the blog.
Bye!

some pics

Wednesday is a special day, its the day we get ready to...put in egress windows?????

I don't really know how much more I can take. Now its 3 egress windows? Kids are still hoeing beets...turkey books STILL aren't finished...it just seems to go on and on.
I would really love a PINTEREST account. I don't know how many invite things I have sent them...come on already. Pretty please?? with a cherry on top???
Jeff said he could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel on this house thing. We must be in different tunnels. I don't see jack!
Had lunch with 2 very awesome ladies today. It was fun to catch up on summer stuff. They are great. And I saw an old school friend having a girls day out with her cute daughter. I told her how lucky she was to have that because Morgan won't do anything like that with me. :(
And no, I haven't found any artsy fartsy cute stuff to put on here either...maybe once this roller coaster is done.
I hope our cute little family members made it to Chicago ok! Love you guys.
So between the house, fair, moving, school registration, reorganizing a new house, I think I will have a full August. Maybe come September I will slow down a little...hahahahahahahahaha

late Sunday night...

its late, its Sunday night, start of a new week. Lots to do. Turkey books to get done. Having lunch with ladies from work...:) Church was tough today. The 5th Sunday lesson was Sister Heward from LDSSS. She worked some with Makenzie in the beginning. It was very difficult to sit through. Jeff and Makenzie left, sat in the hall and cried. I did challenge her this week to get to her ward. You never know what can happen. Hopefully we will hear some good news about the appraisal. The kids have more beets to hoe tomorrow, then we will clean out the closet. FHE tomorrow night is the annual neighborhood party, what shall I take for dessert? Decisions, decisions.

has it really been a year?

Goodness gracious me. I got on today and realized it has been 11 months since I have blogged, which is really stinkin pathetic. I read other people's blogs every day, but don't take the time to update mine. Maybe I get depressed at looking at all the cute artsy fartsy stuff everyone else does..I really don't know. Many things have transpired this past 11 months. 1. the kids all passed school, WAHOO!! Now Beau is a senior?!?!?! Morgan is in 8th and Brett is in 3rd. Makenzie is currently employed and going to get her cna and retake classes to raise her GPA. Another WAHOO!!! We had a wonderful couple come into our lives and adopt our grandson. His name is Nolan Blake Smith and is the most adorable baby ever. Makenzie made a totally unselfish choice to let him be raised by Ashlee and Collin, who actually blessed him and took him to the temple today. A 3rd WAHOO!! We couldn't be happier for them. We are hopefully in the last week of selling our house of 15 years. Who would have thought we would ever leave? Not me. I am trying to tell myself it will be good and no house payment will be awesome. We are still on pins and needles waiting for the appraisal to come through. We will know more on Monday.
I am a guest blogger on Ashlee's blog myspoiledeggs.blogpot.com. I just wrote about my side of the pregnancy and adoption. I am still a Grandma, just a little differently.
Jeff has been off all this week and just resting. He sure has needed it. The kids have been hoeing beets and will have enough $$ to pay for their own school clothes. WAHOO a 4th time. Fair is fast approaching and the turkeys are more than ready to go...and I am ready for them to be gone. More to come...maybe I will find some cute craft to post, who knows.
